Introduction
The base defines the database for your model and leverages the sources you connected previously (to learn more about sources, click here).
Bases can join data from multiple objects within a single data sources (e.g. join the Contact and Opportunities objects in SFDC) and join data from multiple sources (e.g. data from SFDC and data from Marketo).
Once the base definition is set, the system will sync the data from the relevant sources and take a snapshot of the current data. This is the data that will be used to build your predictive model.
You can create different bases for different models or use the same base for multiple models.
Build a base
Go to 'Bases' and click on 'New'
Name your base and select the data source for your first object
You'll now see all the objects that are available in this data source, choose an object you like to use in this base and click 'Done'
You can add additional objects from the same source by clicking the object name you would like to add
Now an additional object was added to the base and Forwrd will automatically identify the keys that are needed to join these two objects
If you would like to set the keys manually you can break the current connection between both objects and choose the relevant keys from the list of fields
You can also add an object from a different source by clicking on 'New Source' and repeating steps 2-6
Once you've selected and connected all relevant object click on 'Done' to save your base
Your base is now ready!
